Lockdown Life Drawing
For the first time since 1992 I took up life drawing
Again I’m not particularly good at it… and seem to be better when I don’t really try. My practice drawings to loosen up are so much better than my longer poses. But I do love it, and plan to work on some of these basic graphics shapes.
I love how my dodgy embroidery makes these council flats look like riverside dwellings.
Textile work
I’ve always loved textile work but I can’t actually sew to save my life.
While in Cornwall however I started to embroider my council estate.
Back in London during my MA I interviewed Jimena Pardo about her Bordando Por La Memoria project and was hooked again…..
