Gallery of past and present practicE

My teaching and my practice as an artist are intertwined.

Everything I do and think of as Art I think “How can I include others in this?

Starting out as a conceptual mixed-media artist I began working with communities in 1995 and now consider my work to be a socially engaged practice. First working with refugee families in a London Primary school, I moved to Istanbul in 1997 and began teaching in Kindergartens and primary schools as well as writing for Time Out Istanbul and an Arts magazine. I also gave private arts and English lessons,  and was a costume designer for commercials and magazines. Over the past 20 years I have worked with people of all ages and cultures in many diverse environments. As a Lead Children’s worker for a young parents charity to Dentistry students I have worked with everyone to enable them to tell their stories in their own voices.
